Now, most cat owners seem to be of the disposition that their cat is the best cat of all despite them being nearly identical to any other. I am no exception to this. My cat truly is the best one.
I have never met a more sociable cat. She absolutely adores people and desires to be around them constantly. She is always meowing and trying to have conversations, plopping up in peoples' laps.
She only lets my friend Caitlin hold her like a baby though, I apparently don't do it right, but she loves it when Caitlin does. She usually just sticks one leg straight up and out.
When she wants your attention, she will gently raise up her paw and pat you on the face. This is very charming. The first time.
When I wake up briefly in the middle of the night between dreams, she usually comes over and paws me gently on the face in order to receive cuddles, and sometimes I need to push her over to my lap to let her know I am going to be going back to sleep after what she feels is an entirely unacceptable amount of skritching.
She sleeps between my knees most nights, or curled up next to me. She really just likes to have human contact for as much time as possible.
She is oddly possessive about her collar. She is purely an indoor cat, so technically doesn't need one, but seems to be incredibly uncomfortable without her collar.
I tried to take her outside a couple times in a harness. But she was freaked out by the wind, which caused her to leap out of her harness back into the house. Perhaps it is for the best.
Now and again I take off her collar for a few moments just to skritch her neck and to make sure it's not tight. She immediately begins to grab at the collar, meowing at me in an annoyed tone until I put it back on her. Once or twice she's managed to have it fall off of her, and she takes it back to one of her boxes or beds and plops it there and gets my attention until it is back on. I have taken it off her and she has grabbed it out of my hand in her mouth and taken it to one of her spots then began to meow at me.
She also has displayed similar behavior on a lesser scale with her fur clumps when I brush her. She seems oddly possessive of them, though seems to understand that we can't keep them. She sheds quite a bit, and even if I brush her daily she seems to have no shortage of extra fur that she feels quite entitled to.
This is but a sampling of the evidence I can provide to Snyper's cat superiority, but must add that yes every cat is grand and wonderful.
